Extractions

Our team has experience and expertise in Oral Surgery. However, in performance of oral surgical cases, our team does not believe in choosing extractions and surgery as a first option In care. For us, it is the absolute last resort because we mainly on saving natural teeth as far as possible by suggesting alternative treatment modalities the cost of replacement is high and nothing comes close to the real tooth.

Impactions(Wisdom Tooth/Third molars Surgery)

The modern diet is a very soft one. Its is very commonly seen that the third molars also known as wisdom teeth have no placed to come in the mouth in the normal arch. Very commonly the wisdom teeth come out partially, in an improper angle thus hurting your tongue or your cheek. With continous irritation you may get pain, inflamation and swelling. At Dr. Saluja's family dental care center we give you appropriate advise for the treatment of such teeth which may include treatments like operculectomy and even a surgical extraction. Incase a surgical extraction is needed it is done with special machine and instruments to give you pleasant treatment experience.

In the xray below you can see how the impacted wisdom teeth (Third molar) have caused cavity formation in the adjoining second molar.

Occasionally canines and premolars and rarely any other tooth may be impacted or semi impacted. In such cases the preference will be to expose the impacted tooth and bring it into proper alignment.

The golden rule which will always remain in our practice is to always save the natural tooth because there is no known equally good replacement for a natural tooth.
